Remember that book club is this Friday! We're reading East of West!

The Legend of Korra - Turf Wars Part 1: I was saddened when Korra ended, but am thrilled to finally have a continuation! I sat down and read this one in a single sitting and it is fantastic!

Crosswind #2: Cal and Juniper must deal with the immediate obstacles before them after being body swapped by a sinister and unknown killer. They find their abilities are oddly suited to the tasks.

Shirtless Bear Fighter #2: Shirtless, coming off his latest near defeat, seeks the source of the threat to cities and bears everywhere. This comic is stupid fun and I highly recommend it for anyone just looking for an easy laugh.

Crosswind #2: The mind-breaking crime fantasy continues! Slick Chicago hitman Cason Bennett and mousy Seattle housewife Juniper Blue have inexplicably switched bodies and lives, and a heartless, relentless killer seems intent on killing them both. Don't miss this edge-of-your-seat thriller by fan-favorites GAIL SIMONE and CAT STAGGS!

Go Go Power Rangers #1: The untold, personal story of what happens to Jason, Kim, Trini, Zack, and Billy following in the days after they first became Power Rangers. Fighting evil is hard, but surviving high school may be even harder-welcome to real life in Angel Grove.

Legend of Korra: Turf Wars vol 1: Relishing their new relationship, Korra and Asami leave the spirit world . . . but find nothing in Republic City but political high jinks and human vs. spirit conflict! A pompous developer plans to turn the new spirit portal into an amusement park, potentially severing an already tumultuous connection with the spirits. What's more, the triads have realigned and are in a brutal all-out brawl at the city's borders-where hundreds of evacuees have relocated!

Mass Effect: Discovery #3: Following a lead to the lawless space station Omega, Tiran Kandros is closer than ever to uncovering the Andromeda Initiative's biggest secret. Unfortunately, so is the deadly Agent Zeta! In a story that ties in to the highly anticipated Mass Effect: Andromeda game, writers John Dombrow and Jeremy Barlow and artist Gabriel Guzmán team up to create the next exciting chapter of the Mass Effect comics series!

Ghostbusters 101 #5: The Ghostbusters have found out what's bringing their dimensions together - and for once, it doesn't have anything to do with a sinister beam of light heading into the sky! Tech nerds from two dimensions will need to put their heads together and build something that'll solve the problem (and at least half of them hope any solution includes a satisfying explosion!)

Jim Henson's Power of Dark Crystal #5: Separated from Kensho, Thurma journeys out into the wilds of Thra to find her way home, alone and unaware of the wonders that stand before her and the dangers on her trail.

Jim Henson's Tales of the Dark Crystal HC: Cory Godbey, the acclaimed children's book illustrator behind the best-selling Jim Henson's Labyrinth Tales, delves deep into the Skeksis-ruled land of Thra in this beautiful look at some of Jim Henson and Brian Froud's finest creations from the beloved cult-classic film The Dark Crystal. When a little bird is hurt in a Skeksis net, Jen takes it to the Mystics for healing and learns how every act of kindness grows like ripples in a lake.

Steven Universe #6: This series perfectly captures the adorable whimsy of the TV show. From the pastel coloring to Melanie Gillman's wonderful stories riddled with aliens and humor, this book is a culmination of everything that Steven Universe is supposed to be.

Legend of Korra Turf Wars: Legend of Korra is one of my favorite animated series of all time. Seeing it get the Avatar: the Last Airbender treatment with continued stories of our favorite characters is amazing. What is even more exciting is the portrayal of an openly queer couple in a graphic novel series aimed at younger readers. Asami and Korra's relationship is everything that I needed as a closeted queer kid in elementary school. This book will be such a positive influence on all young kids. That along with Irene Koh's beautiful artwork, I cannot wait for this book.

Legend of Korra - Turf Wars Part 1: Avatar has been one of my favorite shows of all time. With this comic picking up right where the show ended, I can't wait to see where this ride takes us.

Mass Effect - Discovery #3 : The mystery continues? Having bumped into the mad salarian (what I'm calling him until he gets named) how will this show down go for our brave adventurers? Victory or defeat? Lets find out!
