Staff Picks 3/15/17

Nightwing #17: The first stop on Nightwing's international quest brings him to Paris, where he must face off against his own great, great grandfather: the Talon known as William Cobb!

Neil Gaiman's American Gods #1: Shadow Moon just got out of jail, only to discover his wife is dead. Defeated, broke, and uncertain as to where to go from here, he meets the mysterious Mr. Wednesday, who employs him to serve as his bodyguard - thrusting Shadow into a deadly world of the supernatural, where ghosts of the past come back from the dead, and a brewing war between old and new gods hits a boiling point.
A must-read for everyone, fans new or old!

Injection #11: NEW STORY ARC! Flensed human skeletons chained to the rocks of an archaeological site in Cornwall.  The tentacles of FPI, reaching into the fabric of time.  Brigid Roth of the Injection team, sent in by Maria Kilbride to separate data from legend, and accident from murder.

Injection #11: FINALLY IT'S BACK! The new arc of my favorite cyber-punk-faerie-tale blend story is here! Brigid is our focal point this volume! What does everyone's favorite hacker get up to while Robin is off not being a wizard and Maria is threatening people for a sandwich?

Neil Gaiman's American Gods #1: An adaptation of the novel as we grow near the Starz' television show! I'm so excited! Especially for these David Mack variants. Damn gorgeous!

Poe Dameron #12: The traitor revealed! Terex's plans reach a head! Poe crashed! How will our favorite pilot survive this? Because he's the best god-Dameron pilot in the galaxy, that's how!

Wild Storm #2: That first issue blew my socks off! So many stories are happening in this book! I love this new imagining of the Wild Storm universe.

Batwoman #1: Kate has her own book! Coming out of the Night of the Monster Men crossover, she is on the trail of villains looking to sell Hugo Strange's monster serum.

Blood Stain vol 2: Finally!!!! All the finally this week! Love this little slice of life book.

More awesome: World of Wakanda #5, Death Be Damned #2, The Deep #3, East of West #32 (with a Women's History Month Variant!) Green Lanterns #19, Mighty Thor #17, Ms. Marvel #16, Odyssey of the Amazons #3, Star-Lord #4, and FINALLY the Marvel Women of Power Standee Punch-Out Book!

Amazing Spider-Man #25: This is the first issue post Clone Conspiracy and it is going to be HUGE! It is 96 pages of my favorite wall crawler. It looks like we are going to finally see what a not crazy Norman Osborn looks like in the 40 page main story, which leaves 50 pages of other awesomeness!

Aquaman #19: This issue kicks off a new story arc. Aquaman will have to team up with the Aquamarines (who were trying to kill him not that long ago) to solve a mystery at an Antarctic research station.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #13: The Rangers are ready to launch an assault on the command center to free Zordon and Alpha 5. Will they take back their home or will the grim future that Billy and Tommy saw come to pass? If you loved the original Power Rangers show, this book is an absolute must have!

Peter Panzerfaust vol 5: The end is here. This is the last five issues of the re imagined Peter Pan story by Kurt Wiebe (Rat Queens, Bounty). I have been waiting so long for this piece of closure.

Spider-Man #14: Sitting in a Tree is almost over. Some one has stolen a Web Warriors dimensional transport bracelet and only Miles and Gwen can get it back. They just have to figure out who took it!

Super Sons #2: I loved the first issue! It was a story of contrasts as you might expect it to be. Damien and Jon have such different personalities that seeing them working toward a common goal is not only interesting, but also kind of hilarious. I think that this could be one of the best titles to come out of REBIRTH.

More things to melt you face: Batman #19, Blood Stain vol 2, Green Arrow #19, Green Lanterns #19, Highlander: American Dream #2, Injection #11, Justice League #17, Kill or be Killed #7, Mighty Thor #17, Ms Marvel #16, Neil Gaiman's American Gods: Shadows #1, Nightwing #17, Odyssey of the Amazons #3, Sex Criminals #17 and Wild Storm #2

Neil Gaiman's American Gods #1: I don't know too many people who AREN'T excited for this adaptation. When you combine modern and ancient mythology with Americana fantasy flavor, you're guaranteed a good mix. The art looks incredible and the book it is based on is one of my favorites from Gaiman.

I Hate Fairyland #11: A convention related issue. Don't get me wrong, I love the dungeon hi-jinks, but this is SUPER apt, considering we just finished ECCC. I am in love with the cover art for this issue.

Super Sons #2: "When I Grow Up" part two! Robin and Superboy - in the clutches of Lex Luthor! The boys are in big trouble! How exactly are they supposed to explain what's happened to Superman and Batman? Plus, Kid Amazo's power grows, and this tyrant in the making is about to make life miserable for the Super Sons!

Star Trek Deviations: In a world where the Romulans discovered Earth before the Vulcans, Earth is now a brutal penal colony. Resistance fighter William Riker has uncovered a vast conspiracy, and together with his band of prisoner outlaws (you just might recognize a few!), must fight to rescue a mysterious prisoner in the darkest level of the Romulan dungeons. The only man on Earth that still holds the key to humanity's return to the stars!

Also awesome: American Gods #1!
