Goldie Vance #1: Awesome new series alert! Goldie, like Bruce Wayne, knows from childhood that she wants to be a great detective and apprentices herself to one so she can learn. If you liked Encyclopedia Brown, this is right up your alley. Oh, and that amazing art? It looks familiar if you're reading Patsy Walker: Hellcat, because that's the work of the astonishing Brittany Williams.
Moon Knight #1: This is the Moon Knight I've been waiting for since Warren Ellis left the book. I can't wait to dive in and see what Jeff Lemire does with this screwed up and fascinating character!
Silver Surfer #3: 50th anniversary! So many cameos! Slott and the Allreds continue to keep the heart of this book squarely in the right place, with each issue a pop art masterclass that makes my own heart just sing.
Constantine: The Hellblazer #11: John, why why why did you do the thing? You knew better than to do the thing, and yet, you did the thing. And then, you should've listened to Oliver, but you didn't, and now, you'd better fix all this! And stop messing with Blythe!
Blood Stain Vol. 1: What if you ended up as the assistant to a MMORPG-playing mad scientist? Then you'd be living in this book!
Honorable Mentions: Heartthrob (new series #1!), Mockingbird #2, Spider-Gwen #7, A-Force #4, Rat Queens vol. 3, Star Wars C-3PO Special (one-shot)
Blood Stain Vol. 1: The incredible Linda Sejic is finally having her web comic printed! A woman with a degree in chemistry has been trying to find a job in her field for two years and finally accepts a job as the assistant to a mad scientist. This takes place in the same universe as Sunstone. So if you're a fan of that comic definitely check this one out because I'm sure we'll see Ally and Lisa soon!
Goldie Vance #1: Goldie lives in Florida and dreams of being a detective for her dad's hotel. A detective she knows agrees to mentor her on a case he can't crack and shows her how to fine tune her skills to help her reach her dream. Written by the incredible Hope Larson and art by the amazing Brittney Williams.
Heartthrob #1: Callie has a heart transplant and now she has urges she's never had before. Like robbing banks. Christopher Sebela has never let me down before so I'm pretty pumped about this one.
Moon Knight #1: Jeff Lemire's writing it so of course I'm buying it. Marc Spector has no powers and is in an insane asylum. This is going to get dark.
Xena Warrior Princess #1: Caesar is going for total domination and Roman soldiers are taking lands. Xena is trying to stop him at all costs but before she can she has to take out a band of women warriors. YEEEEEEEEESSSS!!!!!!!!
Here's some other things I'm pumped about: A-Force #4, Legend Of Wonder Woman #4, Mockingbird #2, Pretty Deadly #9, Princeless: Make Yourself #1, Rat Queens Vol. 3, Wonder Woman 77 Special #3
Blood Stain TP Vol 01: If you liked the writing style of Wildfire, you’re in for a treat. Linda Seijic is back with another awesome book involving a chemistry major, mad scientist and their hilarious antics. Surely this will bode better than most mad scientist books and won’t result in a mad mob...hopefully?
Legends of Wonder Woman #4 of 9: I really, really don’t want this to only be a mini series. I want this to go on forever! What will Diana do now since she’s away from home? Thankfully, there will be others to help guide our hero amongst us.
Mockingbird #2: I really hope she can explain the Corgis… :D
Honorable mentions: Dejah Thoris #3 (YEAH!!), Kennel Block Blues, Monstress #5 (Freaking amazing!), Princeless: Make Yourself #1, Rat Queens TP Vol 3, Xena Warrior Princess #1
A-Force #4: The team has assembled. Will Singularity sacrifice herself to end the threat that is Antimatter? Not if A-Force has anything to say about it!
Spider-Gwen #7: Spider-Women continues here! Will Jess get home in time to put her baby to bed? Doc Oc Agent of SHIELD? Earth 65 Cindy Moon? I can't wait to get the answers to these questions! Also the second of four connecting variant covers by J Scott Campbell!!!
Mockingbird #2: Issue #1 left us with so many questions. Now we can start to fill in the gaps of Bobbi's apparent descent into madness. And I really want to see how she explains the dog. (She said that she could)
Dejah Thoris #3: She is in the army now, but will that get her any closer to the answers that she seeks? One thing is certain, the Princess of Helium really ought to watch her back!
Honorable Mentions: Amazing Spider-Man #10, Amazing Spider-Man and Silk Spider(fly) Effect #2, Rat Queens Vol 3, Silver Surfer #3, Spidey #4, and Web Warriors #6
Blood Stain vol 1: I read the first bit of this book as a preview, and it's hilarious and I can barely wait to get my hands on it. Linda Sejic is amazing and seriously, pick this one up, even if you don't buy anything else, buy this!
Mockingbird #2: I really wanna hear Bobbi's explanations for the corgi... and the bondage get up, and her general descent into madness because Bobbi, I love you, but you're kind of scaring me.
Constantine #11: John, you've really screwed this one up, big time! Like seriously, you've been mucking about with magic for how long? And you didn't stop yourself from screwing over Blythe, twice! You better save Oliver's kids, dude.
Spider-Gwen #7: Beginning of the next arc, Matt Murdock is the King Pin. The Punisher is down and out. And what will Gwen do next? This has hands down been my favorite series since from the downbeat.
Honorable Mentions: A-Force #4 (ASSEMBLE THE A-FORCE!) and Weirdworld #6 (have you been reading this? This is the best!).
